Ernesh, The Marked

Medium undead, chaotic evil

Ernesh was once a living man. Ernesh was not this body's original name. He stole and murdered for a living as a highwayman, until one day, he chose the wrong soul to steal from. He tried to rob a wandering necromancer, one disguised as a helpless old man. He was slain and cursed by the necromancer, who took no mercy on him. He gained a black mark on him across his back from the magic that slew him, and the necromancer enslaved him into his plethora of thralls.
