Brood Mother

Huge monstrosity, unaligned

This horrific creature is so aptly named for its ability to produce a disgusting and horrible brood of parasites. They resemble deformed trees in swamps and other moist and damp environments, with a dark trunk and roots that seem far too thick to be normal. These appendages will often feel fleshy more than like normal bark, and it can pulsate. All along its body and canopy are transparent pods that slowly turn opaque as they mature, becoming decayed parasites which the brood mother deploys.
