Timeline and History

A chronicle of the world from its very beginning to the present day. This section organizes the major epochs and events that shaped civilization, magic, and the very nature of reality.

The Ages of the World

The Age of Creation

The timeless era before the Material Plane existed. In this age, the Weave created the First Beings in the Cradle of Creation—a realm beyond time where the eight races awakened. Here, the Weave taught them about magic, balance, and the nature of existence. The First Beings multiplied, though each generation became slightly less attuned to the Weave.

This age culminated in The Founding Accord—the cosmic negotiation where the First Beings and the Weave together decided the fundamental rules of reality: that time would flow forward, magic would require effort, mortality would give life meaning, beings would need food and rest, day and night would cycle, and dreams would allow for hidden truths.

The Age of Adaptation

The first great challenge after the First Beings stepped into the Material Plane. Theory met practice as each race struggled to survive in a world with real limitations. Magic was finite, hunger was real, and shelter had to be built with effort.

Each race focused inward, experimenting with creating plants, animals, and ecosystems. Elves cultivated Everfruit Trees and Spirit Elk. Dwarves discovered Glowshrooms and Deepgrain. Humans domesticated cattle and dogs. Halflings perfected Hearthgrain and Ciderapples. Through magical experimentation—both successful and catastrophic—the races unintentionally shaped the world forever, introducing both wonders and problems that would persist through the ages.

Understanding the Timeline

These ages form the foundation of all history. Every culture, tradition, and magical practice traces its roots back to these formative periods when the nature of existence itself was being defined.
