Vitae

Vitae are bulky, shambling creatures with green skin and facial tentacles, making their heads look a little octopus-like. These tentacles hide their circular saw of a mouth, and are shorter than that of a mindflayer. Despite having teeth, vitae usually prefer eating pure life energy from creatures they kill rather than flesh. They can stand on two feet or run on four legs easily.

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light , and in darkness as if it were dim light . You can't discern color in darkness , only shades of gray.
Life Drain. When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with your unarmed strikes, you may expend a bonus action to consume their life force and regain hit points equal to your Constitution modifier. You must finish a short or long rest after using this trait to use it again.
Mount Form. As a bonus action , you can drop on all fours or stand bipedally. While on all fours, you may serve as a mount for Medium creatures as if you were a Large creature.
Aberrant Nature. Your creature type is aberration instead of humanoid. As such, you are immune to spells like crown of madness or dominate person because they specifically target humanoids.
