Devils are born from sin. Demons are born from fear. Lifeseeds are the only fiend actually created by reproduction. More specifically, they are produced by a powerful creature known as "the Seed King" who flits around through the lower planes. He creates many spawn, which are entirely disposable and cannot reproduce or be revived; but are highly configurable and useful. The ones who have lasted the longest form an inner circle around the King.
