As its name implies, this mammalian quadruped is visually striking for its colossal and impressive horn that, in adults, can grow to a length in excess of two feet. Aside from being a formidable natural weapon, rhinos with larger horns are seen as more suitable mates by others of their species. Aside from its goring protrusion, these mammals are visually distinct from the more common rhinoceros by the coarse, blue fur that covers most of its otherwise leathery body.
