Bloodbloater
Only 8 inches in diameter, bloodbloaters are the smallest of oozes. While primarily found in water, they are able to travel on land, if slowly. A newly formed or starved bloater appears as nothing more than a round film floating atop the water, while a bloater that has killed a large enough creature recently to fully inflate can clearly be seen as a floating ball of blood. Even in the latter state, bloaters continue to float endlessly, draining the blood of any creatures within its sight.
