Student of Magic

You were identified as a potential magic user at a very young age and thus taken in as an apprentice. You left home or were taken to be trained either by a stronger caster, your "master." who found you. Alternatively, you were enrolled into a school specializing in teaching the arcane arts. Who is your master? What kind of a master and mentor are they? Do you treat you like their gofer, or maybe even their child. If you were attending a school, was it a grand academy or a modest little installation run out of someone's house maybe? What areas of magic did you specialize or have the most interest in? How was your curriculum like? Did your busy schedule learning magic allow for you to go back home? Or were you maybe an orphan, making your master or school the main life you know?
