Fated

Ever since you were born, your future has been heralded by some other event. Whether you're predicted to slay a fearsome dragon, or destined to become enslaved by a powerful wizard, your life has never been truly left up to chance. Perhaps you've been training to prepare yourself for your fated event, or maybe you're trying to do whatever you can to avert it. Regardless, you have knowledge of an occurrence yet to come and what your role in it is. Are you afraid or excited by your encroaching destiny? What would you do to prevent or advance your event from happening? Is your reason for adventuring tied to your destiny, or is it that you wish to find allies to help you in resolving it?
Skill Proficiencies: Choose two from among Arcana, History, Insight, and Survival
Tool Proficiencies: A set of Artisan's Tools of your choice
Languages: One of your choice
Equipment: A set of common clothes, a set of artisan's tools (one of your choice), a small pouch containing 15gp, and your prophetic precursor (if it's an object, and it's small enough to be carried around or fit in a container you have)

Feature: Awaiting Destiny

Before you learned about your future, you were just another ordinary person. How did you learn about what is to come? Choose or randomly determine the way you happened to learn about your fated event from the table below. Alternatively, you can create your own prophetic precursor at your GM's discretion.

Suggested Characteristics

Personality Traits (d8)

1I like to brag that I can see the future, even though I've only seen one moment of it.
2Occasionally, I like to do things of my past from a time before I became a fated.
3Even when I'm at Death's door, I'm confident I'll survive because of my destiny.
4I detest change and try to keep my life the same every day.
5After I wake up, I extensively plan out my day's activities to the smallest detail.
6I don't like it when others think I want my fated event to happen.
7I love the attention I get when I tell people about my fated event.
8I tend to treat everybody as if they're important, just in case they're tied to my destiny.

Ideals (d6)

1Duty. My fate is destined to happen, so I accept that it's my duty to follow through with it. (Lawful)
2Freedom. I wish to be free from my fate, and I'll do anything to be rid of it. (Chaotic)
3Revenge. I was doomed by my fate, so I'll ruin everyone else's futures so their fates are like mine. (Evil)
4Friendship. I can overcome/achieve my fated event by enlisting the aid of others. (Good)
5Denial. I am not controlled by destiny or fate. I carve my own future. (Any)
6Survival. I have to survive in order to see out my fated event. It's my life's purpose. (Neutral)

Bonds (d6)

1I confide only to my prophetic precursor, even if it isn't alive.
2I feel indebted to anyone who distances me from my fated event.
3Whenever I meet somebody for the first time, I judge them on how useful they'll be in preventing/achieving my destiny.
4I distance myself from my family so they won't get caught up in my fate.
5I can never truly love somebody because I'm afraid that they'll get caught up in my fated event.
6I have somebody who I need to protect from my fated event, no matter the costs.

Flaws (d6)

1I am always paranoid since my fated event could happen at any moment.
2I have a chronic fear of time and regularly have panic attacks when I think about it progressing.
3I cannot bring myself to committing my fated event and will happily die in place of it happening.
4I treat everybody as inferior since they aren't destined like me.
5When I see somebody related to my future, I try and run away from them.
6I believe that the universe is against me and will blame anything else for my mistakes.
